Ashleigh Hayward

Ashleigh came to Bangor in 2012 to undertake her B.Sc. in Chemistry, after her first year she moved up on to the MChem course. During her third year project Ashleigh worked with Dr Mike Beckett on the synthesis of novel pentaborate complexes using non-metal cations. In the summer of her third year she undertook an Erasmus placement at the University of Padova, Italy, where she was looking into the synthesis of new organoselenium compounds. Now back in Bangor to complete her MChem year, Ashleigh is undertaking her fourth year project on the use of RNAse in cancer treatment.
